Feature film composed of three of the main short films by the experimental Spanish director Jose Val del Omar. Composed of Acariño galaico (De barro), released in 1995, Fuego en Castilla (Tactilvisión del páramo del espanto), a short film premiered at Cannes in 1961 that won a technical award at the French festival and was nominated for the Palme d'Or and finally Aguaespejo granadino, released in 1955.
The Legend of the North Wind

To get his hands on a valuable pod of whales, a 17th-century European daredevil in Newfoundland foolishly attempts to release the powers of the mythical North Wind, who was trapped in a pot thanks to a shared effort by Basque sailors and Mi'kmaq Indians. Now, the descendant of those Indian, Watuna, and the descendants of those Basque sailors, Ane and Peiot, must defeat the evil Athanasius before he achieve his purpose.

As in the novel of the same title from Camilo Jose Cela, "La Colmena" is a sad composition with the stories of many people in the Madrid of 1942, just the postwar of the spanish civil war. The main theme of the film is the contrast between the poets, surviving close to misery under the Franco's regime, and the winners of the war, the emerging class of the people that makes easy money with illegal business.
