Jabya, a teenager from a lower caste, falls in love with Shalu, a higher caste girl. While Jabya is struggling in his love life, his family is on the lookout for a way to hunt down a wild pig to earn some money.
Pistulya focuses on the desire of a dalit boy to attend school, and his inability to do so because of his family's poverty and a deep seated disdain for formal education within his community.
