A group of friends in their early 40s are shocked by the death of one of them. After the funeral, they must fulfil his last wish: a peculiar game in which each of them must write down on a piece of paper something that they would like to do before they die. Each wish will be the starting point of an intense weekend in which they will live fun, unexpected and, sometimes, extreme situations. The terrifying thriller tells the story of Sara (Lydia Bosch, 'Grand Hotel'), a popular novelist who after suffering a serious accident, it is host to a monastery in the north section of Italy in which dwells an ancient brotherhood. A place stuck in the past: without light, water or telephone, where the Benedictine monks, sitting in the dark, cold and silent, strictly follow the laws of Christianity.

A young Cuban named Olga arrives in Spain with a scholarship convinced that she has landed the chance of a lifetime. Deciding to stay, she eventually becomes an illegal immigrant, suffering the brunt of marginalization and, unable to return home, having to get by as she can. Mari Jo is a young girl from a poor Valencian suburb, born into a family with nothing but problems. Fate has marked her life as she too becomes an outcast. Both end up working illegally in a furniture factory where they earn three times less than the minimum legal salary.

Daniel, an ex-convict, tries to get back at his corrupt father-in-law by kidnapping his own son and hiding him in an abandoned town where they are producing American westerns. Daniel will have to face a vile father-in-law, an ex-wife that stalks him, as well as a falling actor in order to carry out his vengeful plan.

During the summer of 1957 a man called Juan de Dios goes through a convalescence in a country hotel. Following the prescriptions of the doctor, he must take complete rest, "not a single movement, not a single thught". Stretched on a hammock, Juan de Dios must resign to "sinking himself in the boredom, just like a castaway at sea". But suddenly he realizes that immobility is something impossible: Juan de Dios sees himself overwhelmed by a myriad of physical, sound, optical and olfactory sensations,which awaken his spirit. After three hours of this contemplation, he announces his departure in the next day. Back in Barcelona, Juan de Dios gives himself over to the sensationsof the city.
