Days of the Bagnold Summer
Original Music Composer
Sue works in a library. Daniel eats crisps and listens to Metallica. This was the summer Daniel was due to spend with his father and his father's new wife in Florida. But when they cancel his trip at the last minute, Sue and Daniel suddenly face the prospect of six long weeks together.
Protecting the Hive
Narrator
In March 2020, following the first weeks of lockdown Belle & Sebastian invited fans to share their thoughts and feelings while in self isolation. Their words became lyrics and formed part of an audio-visual piece narrated alternately by Stuart Murdoch and friend of the band Alessandra Lupo, accompanied by a striking visual by Kenny MacLeod of an aerial view of a deserted sunlit Glasgow during this period.
God Help the Girl
Screenplay
Eve is a catastrophe—low on self-esteem but high on fantasy, especially when it comes to music. Over the course of one Glasgow summer, she meets two similarly rootless souls: posh Cass and fastidious James, and together they form a group.
