In the 1930s, a blacksmith is accused of murdering his wife and becomes a hero and political leader.
Carlos and Suely are a normal couple. He has some extramarital adventures and she's a standard housewife. During a Carnival, when he goes out wearing a vampire costume, Suely decides to follow a friend's advice and go for it. On Ash Wednesday, he finds her with an odalisk costume on and happier than usual.
A gang robs a factory in the State of Rio de Janeiro taking 500 million cruzeiros. In the shooting, several bandits and police are killed. The police manage to arrest some criminals involved in the robbery but do not recover the money. The mystery grows with the occurrence of some deaths clearly related to the robbery.
Comedy in two segments. In the first, an important businessman becomes temporarily paralyzed after taking too much of a potent aphrodisiac. To take his place, his employee finds a mechanic who is a look-alike. In the second story, a businessman's woman pretends she is jealous in order to conceal her own unfaithfulness, as she is having an affair with her husband's closest employee.
