History

Tetsuo Hirakawa (平川 哲生, Hirakawa Tetsuo, November 13, 1979) is a Japanese animator, screenwriter and anime director born in Chiba Prefecture. He joined Madhouse in 2002 after graduating from college. After participating in many works as an animator, he made his directorial debut in 2009 with The River's Light (Kawa no Hikari). Since then, he has been active as a freelance director and screenwriter.
