History
Affonso Uchôa was born in the city of Contagem, in Brazil. He studied cinema in Minas Gerais and began his career as an assistant director. He debuted as a director in A Vizinhança do Tigre (2016), a docudrama awarded at the Mostra de Cinema de Tiradentes. His next feature Arábia (2017) won the main awards at Festival de Brasília. He also directed the short-film Sete Anos em Maio (2019).

Rafael’s intimate account meets the collective testimony of an entire nation oppressed by poverty, police repression and institutional corruption.

As André reads from the journal entries, we are plunged into Cristiano’s life, into stories of his wanderings, adventures, and loves.
