Forouzan (also spelled Foroozan) was born in Bandar-e Anzali, Iran. Her real name was Parvin Kheirbakhsh. She started her career by dubbing films. Her first movie was Sahel-e Entezar. She acted in many popular Iranian films and also worked with visionary directors of the Mowj-e Now, such as Dariush Mehrjui (Dayere-ye Mina) and Ali Hatami (Baba Shamal). She started her cinematic career as a voice-over actress. In 1964 she starred in Siamak Yasemi's Sahele Entezar, but it was Ganje Qarun, another film by Yasemi, that made her very famous. She co-starred in this film with Fardin. After Ganj-e Qarun Fardin and Forouzan made a golden cinematic couple and co-starred in some of the highest-grossing films of the era, known as Persian Films or Film Farsi (in Persian: Filme Farsi). Persian Film was the popular genre of movies produced in Iran before the Iranian revolution of 1979. Siamak Yasemi, Iraj Ghaderi, Shapur Gharib and Fereydun Goleh were some of the other famous directors that she collaborated with. After the 1979 revolution Forouzan was banned from playing in movies and grew more and more isolated. She rarely conducted interviews and died on 24 January 2016 in Tehran. After Forouzan's death, Persian-language websites and forums dedicated posts and articles in her memory. Her popularity remained intact despite not having acted in a new film since 1978

Zahra
Ali and his father go from their poor neighborhood in the outskirts of the city to a hospital so that Ali's father can be treated for his sickness. However since they have no money, Ali starts to work for Dr. Sameri who deals in blood.

Shirin
Two teenage friends arrange to meet on a certain day twenty years later by sending a massage in the newspaper. On the meeting's day, Reza shows up but Amir arrives late. Reza is in love with a girl and has no hope of having a happy ending with her; therefore, he commits suicide but Amir arrives on time and saves him. They meet the girl. Amir also falls for the girl and when Reza finds out that the girl and Reza love each other, goes on to arrange their marriage.
Fati
Fati (Forouzan) goes to Tehran from her hometown. Kadkhoda and his mother gave him the address of Khan Sardar (Habibullah Blour). Shamsullah Zafar (Reza Beyk Imanverdi), the driver of Khan Sardar, takes Fati to Sardar's house. Sardar insists that his son Parviz (Amir Fakhreddin) marry a girl named Ishrat (Morsdeh Kamyab).
Behjat Tighi
A man from a respectable and rich family is fascinated by a derelict woman. He intends to marry her, and despite his family’s disagreement, he does it. Banafsheh
Banafsheh, a young prostitute who has fled with a man to the seaside in hope of starting a new life has to return to her profession as she learns about the betrayal of her lover. Penniless and emotionally broken, she also has to bear with the taunts of the other girls and the threats of the roughneck patron of the house, Mammad who unfailingly refer to his dagger to consolidate his supremacy. In fact it was Mammad who ordered the man to rob Banafsheh of her money and abandon her. Banafsheh apparently has not learnt her lesson, as she trusts her next customer and falls in love with him. Her new lover , Abbas, is a truck driver who received his nickname for his habit of constantly lying, but it seems that he gives it a break when promises Banafsheh to get a house of their own...
Eshrat
Ghalandar feels bothered by the suitors wooing for his sister Eshrat. But for a secret reason he does not want to marry her off. As a way out, he asks his trusted friend Sadegh to marry his sister, but warns him about making love with her. Sadegh tries to keep his promise, but when he leaves his wife immediately after the wedding ceremony for the capital, Eshrat follows and joins him and his mother. Unable to bear with the taunts of mother, Sadegh eventually breaks his oath and takes his legal wife to bed. Informed of this betrayal, Ghalandar waylays Sadegh at a dark night and stabs him to death. Eshrat, suspecting who is behind this murder, flees and joins a whorehouse, intent to exact her revenge by staining the name of his so-far respectable brother...
