From Wikipedia Flora Zabelle (April 1, 1880– October 7, 1968) was a Broadway actress who appeared in several early silent films. She was born in Constantinople, Ottoman Empire (now Istanbul, Turkey). Of Armenian descent, Flora Zabelle was born in the Ottoman Empire to Dr. Mangasarian. At the time of the Hamidian massacres, Dr. Mangasarian along with Flora moved to the United States. She was married to Raymond Hitchcock from 1905 to his death in 1929. She died in 1968.

Marybelle's little brother, Billie asks Carter what is making Marybelle so sad. Carter replies evasively, "It's a Ringtailed Rhinoceros." Billie vows to kill the rhino. When Carter fails to appear on time at a dinner which was planned to announce his engagement to Marybelle, and finally arrives intoxicated, her parents in anger force her to break the engagement and forbid Carter the house. Marybelle's rejection of Carter hits him hard.
