Lame-o’s is set just before the Millennium, in 1999, and is the story of three school friends who are among the most unpopular girls in their class. The friends are determined to radically change the situation. The three friends at the centre of the story are Sarmīte, Sveta and Katrīna, who are studying in the last class of the secondary school. The upcoming Millennium and their approaching graduation make them undertake various measures to become appreciated and liked, which eventually challenge their friendship.
A couple that does not fit into society’s accepted norms regarding women and men. Routine problems of everyday life that tend to take on immeasurable amplitudes push the film’s leads into a most intimate confinement, one in which thoughts and the answers to problems lead to dreams.

While escaping the clutches of her “helpers”, she meets Latvian silent cinema enthusiasts. While being with them and working with cinematograph, she learns to use it as a self-discovery tool, as a weapon of confrontation of her enemies and as a way to transform her healing wounds by creating masterpiece of silent cinema.
