Ok-nim

But, the joy of their friendship won’t hold long when Il-bum’s debt reaches beyond help.
Hye-sook's mother
One day, Hye-sook is tricked by her mother into visiting her hometown. When she finds out that her mother is fine and tries to leave for Seoul, she hears about the passing of Taek-gyu's father. After the funeral, Hye-sook plans to return to the city. Gi-ju, a struggling writer, tries to drown himself at Andong lake but Taek-gyu saves him. Hye-sook used to draw for Gi-ju's writings when they were young. The two were each other's first love and through the reunion, they are about to rekindle their old romance.

The film mainly follows the famous 1597 Battle of Myeongryang during the Japanese invasion of Korea 1592-1598, where the iconic Joseon admiral Yi Sun-sin managed to destroy a total of 133 Japanese warships with only 13 ships remaining in his command. The battle, which took place in the Myeongryang Strait off the southwest coast of the Korean Peninsula, is considered one of the greatest victories of Yi.
North Korean Spy
