"Letters from Silivri" draws on letters of the Turkish philanthropist and public intellectual Osman Kavala to document a timeline of his imprisonment. By separating voice and image the film intends to create an echo chamber that allows audiences to listen more carefully to Kavala’s letters, while at the same time place his words in context to a civil society.

For a writing assignment, he steals a photo from one of the letters, in which appears Selma, an inmate's wife. More than an inspiration, she becomes an obsession for Zakir. He observes her, makes up stories, and imagines the worst to the extent that he puts himself at great risk.

Katman is the story of the archaeological dig that has been conducted at the Gre Amer dig in the village of Işıkveren in Batman since 2009 by Dr. Gül Pulhan and Dr. Stuart Blaylock. The activities are conducted by the Batman Culture and Tourism Directorate's Museum Directorate within the framework of the Ilısu Dam HES project. Katman sheds light on the customs that have until recently continued to be part of daily life in the region, but which in fact go back centuries in time.
