Shakeela
History
Shakeela is an Indian actress who has appeared mostly in softcore and B movies. She mostly acted in film industries of Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi Kannada and Malayalam languages. She started out as an actor in B-grade movies in the early 1990s. Later she moved to Chennai seeking a career in South Indian film industry. Shakeela debuted through the Tamil soft porn movie, ‘Playgirls’ at the age of 20 as a supporting actress. She is termed as Right Successor of Silk Smitha.

Parimala
Bhaskaran is a happy-go-lucky guy, who is yet to complete his B.A. degree, writing arrear examinations annually for years. His only friend is Nallathambi who owns a barber saloon, which he received as a dowry for marrying a two-month pregnant woman. He lives with his mother, Sivakami, brother Saravanan who is a successful veterinarian and sister, Nithya. When his brother marries Nandhini, he gets to meet Nandhini's younger sister Chandrika and wishes to marry her. When he approaches his family for a chance, everyone talks very frankly of his unemployed status which rankles him and he leaves his house to prove himself. With the support of Nallathambi, he establishes a tutorial for Class 10 students and despite early setbacks makes it work, while also convincing Chandrika, who eventually reciprocates his love. However despite all this, Chandrika's father is against her marriage with Bhaskaran for a reason which is revealed in the end.
ACP Bose (Karthik) is a sincere police officer happily married (Anu Hassan) and living with his parents and younger brother Velu (Arun Vijay). Velu is a college student and he falls in love with his classmate Anjali (Dhansika). Umapathi (Chandrasekar) enters, who is notorious for settlements and land deals. He kills anyone who comes in his way and does not leave any evidence or witness behind. He takes a loan of 100 crores from a private bank with the help of a cunning DGP and a politician. He kills the bank’s chairman in order to avoid repayment and puts the blame on Bose. Bose tries to stop Umapathi. Velu also gets into disputes with Umapathi. What happens next forms the crux of the story.

The film starts in a street in Fort Kochi where Vasco da Gama, the son of a wrestler named Michael, lives. Vasco and his gang of five — Chandrappan, Susheelan, Sainu, Basheer and cousin Tomichchan are small-time goondas, involved in petty offences and as the movie progresses, these characters turn out to be more endearing than bad.

Cameo appearance
Dorai (Arjun) is a do-gooder don. But a police force led by ACP Easwara Pandian (Prakash Raj) and his sidekick (Sathyan) are after him. However, the poor need him as he is a Good Samaritan running an orphanage. He has help from his friends (Manivannan and Vadivelu). But Dorai has a problem. His mother (Sujatha) doesn’t approve of his ways. She feels that he is just a loutish goon. There is also Anjali (Mallika Kapoor), a TV journo, who is in love with Dorai because of his dare devil ways. Dorai has a past too. He was just an honest-to-goodness school teacher, who ends up as the deathly Dorai after a fire ravages a school and kills several children. The incident forces him to take on the system of venal officials and politics. Now, Dorai’s biggest task is to nip a dark and dire politician who wants to bomb the city. The rest, as they, is all cinematic clichés.
When Nambirajan's sister's would-be father-in-law insults him and challenges him to amass name and wealth, Nambirajan strives hard to become a powerful politician.
Meera Krishnan
Kathirvel comes to the city to live with his friend Subramani. While Reshma is a soft-spoken college student, her mother Gangamma is an heartless lady rowdy. Rahul, a college student, falls in love with Reshma at the first sight. Reshma also loves him but to save Rahul's life, she tries to avoid him. Finally, Reshma accepts his love. Gangamma, knowing their love affair, hurts heavily Rahul in front of Kathirvel and Subramani and they reached Rahul to the nearby hospital. Reshma insults Kathirvel for being passive during the attack and Kathirvel tells his tragic past to Reshma. In the past, Kathirvel was in love with Reshma's sister Meenakshi. They So Gangamma tried to kill Kathirvel but Meenakshi intervened and was accidentally by her mother. Before her death, Kathirvel promised Meenakshi to not kill her mother. Kathirvel is now determined to unite the lovers. What transpires later forms the crux of the story.
Dyan's relationship ends when his girlfriend, Monalisa, dies in an accident. In order to fulfil his parent's wishes, he marries Spandana, who turns out to be an exact lookalike of Monalisa.
Sivanna (Arjun) and Lakshmi (Swati) are siblings. Their parents die when they were kids. Sivanna took the entire responsibility of raising his sister. Lakshmi falls in love with Ajay (Srinath). Sivanna marry off his sister to Ajay. But Ajay's family member is against to this marriage. When Ajay leaves abroad for an assignment, family of Ajay plots a conspiracy on Lakshmi and accuses her of having an extramarital affair with the car driver.Ajay believes in his mother and starts abusing Lakshmi. When Sivanna comes to know about it, he offers to take her back to his home. But she refuses. The rest of the film is all about how Sivanna finds out evidence to prove the innocence of his sister.
Sujatha falls in love with Ravi even though she is betrothed to Raghu. When Raghu learns about the relationship, he tries to harm Ravi and does everything in his capacity to marry Sujatha.
Padmini
Singamuthu wants that he and his brothers marry girls who are sisters. However, Chinnathayi, his cousin, wants to marry him and decides to jeopardise all the marriage proposals that come his way.
Arumugham is an uneducated, good hearted, helpful village hick. Easwari is his childhood friend. A chemical factory in the village pollutes the local river and when all attempts to stop the factory waste from going to the drinking water falls flat, the villagers decide to send Arumugham to Chennai and meet the concerned minister who has won from their constituency. He sets out for the city with Easwari and her grandmother and they stay with Arumugham's friend and gang.

The story is centered in a village where the parents of first cousins Sujatha (Sadha) and Raghu (Gopichand) decide that both will be married when they become adults. As a child, Sujatha's uncle gives her anklets, which she wears as she grows up. As they grow older, Raghu is caught smuggling money from his house. At school, Raghu beats up a kid for talking to Sujatha. They quarrel, and soon Raghu's family leaves for another village. Sujatha grows to be an attractive college girl, while the villain Raghu becomes a good-for-nothing character. On her way to college, Sujatha meets up with Venkat (Nitin), a poor but handsome, charming enthusiastic boy, and soon after their quarrels they fall in love.

Razni is a rich boy who lives with his aunty. The superintendent sleeps with shakeela by promising her that he will marry her, but seeing Hema, the superintendent asks shakeela to arrange a marriage between him and Hema, on which Shakeela gets angry at the superintendent and vows to sabotage his attempts to marry Hema as a revenge. Hema is the cousin of Razni and they fall in love and plan to marry. Meanwhile, Shakeela who lives nearby becomes fond of Razni and seduces him.

Uma marries Balu, an honest civil engineer. Uma thinks that he is rich and receives lot of bribes but turns out Balu is from the middle-class like her. Uma is a miser and dreams to become rich. After few years, they have two children. In the meantime, Priya, the daughter of Balu's boss Rajasekhar, falls in love with Balu and asks him to marry her unaware of Balu's marriage and his two children. Balu refuses to marry her as he was already married but she compels him. When Priya meets Uma, she offers her one crore rupees in exchange for marrying Balu. Uma immediately agrees and she starts forcing Balu for remarriage. Finally, Balu agrees with heavy heart as Uma threatens to commit suicide. Soon, Balu also starts falling in love with Priya. Uma slowly realizes her mistake and wants to get Balu back. The rest of the story is what happen to Balu, Uma and Priya.
