History

His parents were professional dancers; he was the middle son in a set of 3. Started his musical career in a Hawaiian-style band, then moved to country-western, and finally Group Sounds; later had his biggest hit with song "Mata Au Hi Made". Intermittently acted, usually in between albums. Sporty, he was known to enjoy surfing, horse-riding, and motorcycling.
