Jadi Jantem (English: If I Knew) is a 1974 Indian Bengali-language drama thriller film directed by Tarun Majumdar as Yatrik. This movie was released under the banner of Chitrajug. Uttam Kumar played the role of main protagonist of the movie, Mr. P. K. Basu, Bar-at-law. This movie was based on the thriller novel Nagchampa of Narayan Sanyal.

The film focuses on the Hindi mythology of the God of Death and how his messengers snatches the life of any living being who has supposedly completed his days on the Earth. The story focuses on the mistake of two messengers who mistakenly pronounce a man dead even before he was supposed to be. Knowing of this goof-up, the god of death gets scared as no living person is supposed to enter 'Hell". Nevertheless, due to the good deeds performed by this human being while he was alive, he is given permission to travel to Heaven where he begins searching for his wife who had passed away sometime back.

This film revolves with miscommunication and misunderstanding of two couples and their family which cause series of laughter. Sushavan Dutta and his wife, Anita, were invited at their relative Digbijay babu's house. While in journey Anita misses train and Sushavan has to journey with another lady Santana. Shankar was a young lawyer in pursuit of making it big in the professional world. His mother urges him to reinvestigate into the case and save his father. He goes to Kishnanagar in search of the people and the evidences which would help him to prove his father’s innocence. He meets Rita, an young and charming lady who assists him. They fall in love. Shankar faces a lot of roadblocks while trying to collect clues most of them which were imposed by the actual murderer. However he solves the mystery in the end and his father is thus, released from prison.

The movie revolves with the unwanted incedents happened in princly state Ratnagarh. After the murder of the king Chandrakanta, one Dr. Palit (Kamal Mitra) asked for help to one Detective Smarajit Sen (Shisir Batabyal), as a family friend. Detective Sen sent his assistant Bimal to Ratnagarh to investigate and ascertain the security of young Kumar Bahadur, new predecessors of the royal family of the estate. They observed that a mysterious lady Manjusri (Manju De) sing uncanny song in the adjacent water body near the palace. Mr Gupta (Bikash Roy), a suspicious botanist stayed in the neighbourhood also roamed in that locality. It revealed that he was deprived of real property of the royal family and took revenge by killing the members of the family. He used one deaf and dumb porter as a hired killer. Ultimately he has been killed by the detective at the end before he could commit another murder.

Maryada was a Bengali drama film directed by Digambar Chattopadhyay. This movie was released on 15 December 1950 in the banner of Bhabani Kalamandir Limited. This is the third and first movie of legendary Bengali actor Uttam Kumar and Bibhu Bhattacharya appeared respectively. In this movie Uttam Kumar leap on a song for the first time in his career.

This movie is based on the life of a famous Bengali philosopher, academic educator, writer, translator, printer, publisher, entrepreneur, reformer, and philanthropist named Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar.
