Kameleoni - The Beatles of Former Yugoslavia
Himself
A musical-documentary film about five high school students from Koper who drove Yugoslavia crazy in the late 1960s. Despite a handful of their own original compositions, they filled halls and football stadiums with more than 10,000 visitors. The Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Center and the Tivoli Hall were opened in Ljubljana. They laid the foundations of the Yugoslav music industry. The Kameleoni pulled back the Yugoslav Iron Curtain and helped the entire generation break free from the shackles of ideological and cultural post-war monumentalism.
Iron Footsteps
Himself
A tribute to the enduring representatives and all metal heads that left a mark on the Slovenian music scene in the '70s and '80s. Heavy metal in Slovenia was forced to constantly defy nonconstructive criticism and was quite underestimated during its existence. Thanks to the steadfast persistence, irrepressible energy and at the same time peaceful ideology and a firm backbone, the heavy metal subculture succeeded to overcome the boundaries of the political system, time and space, thus becoming a part of culture and sociopolitical history of the nation. The authors of the film try to immortalize the spirit of this era of Slovenian music through testimonies of the main representatives of Slovenian heavy metal scene from those times, and offer it to future generations. At the same time, they want to pay these incredible musicians and their audience due respect which they rarely got during the time of their musical existence.
Sophie the Witch
(voice)
An educationalist - a 'thief of childhood' becomes alarmed over the inappropriateness of old, fairy tale stories for children. The old book like the one about witches and monsters in her hands suddenly springs to life. Out from it escape Sophie the Witch and her companions: Black Claw, Gray Nightmare and the Red Straw Monster, as well as the water-sprite Aquiline, the shy little dwarf Tiny Peat, and the enchantress Lady Spider. They scatter among the town and woods and performed all kinds of mischief. Sophie just can't get her broom to fly, because she became too fat. The monsters, disappointed over the century in which we live, return back into the book, the witch Sophie loses her magic power and becomes 'Aunt Sophie', and Tiny Peat has changed into a black cat.
Eva
Eva is a widow bored with life, with her job as an architect, with her younger lover, and with her two teenage offspring. She is eventually assigned the job of redesigning the cells of a new prison, but even when her enthusiasm returns a little with the assignment, she is discouraged by the pseudo-intellectual stance of the prison warden and a non-communicative visit to her father. In an act of desperation, she steals some money and a gun - and fully intends to use them both.
