My Freedom
Alicija (33), a Polish-born liberal free-thinker, joins the Awakening movement in occupied Latvia. Her newlywed husband Ilgvars (53), a man with the experience of another generation, calls her to be more careful and cautious. With the support of a close friend, the poet Normunds (40), Alicija soon comes to the forefront of the Singing Revolution. However, alongside the first success, difficulties appear – Alicija receives an anonymous letter accusing Ilgvars of being a former KGB informant. His ambiguous answer leads to her wanting to find out the truth. Realizing that her husband’s actions in the KGB have affected the fate of her close friend, Alicija faces an unenviable choice. Torn by internal contradictions, she continues her work to restore the country’s independence, unable to find courage to resolve the situation. Alicija buries herself in her work and the emotional connection with her husband gradually fades away.
The Starry Night
A brother and a sister come to visit their grandmother in the countryside to attend their father's funeral. It takes just a few days of being in the middle of nowhere for things to get out of control.
Mellow Mud
Siblings Roby and Raya after the death of their father and being abandoned by their mother, are forced to live with their dominating grandmother in a small country house owned by their family. Things change after the sudden death of their grandmother. The teenagers have to face a tough choice: either to report the accident and submit themselves to a life in an orphanage or hide the dead body and live as if nothing has happened.

The family from the 4th floor are reasonably sane people. Krists is a brash teenager who lives in his dreams more than in real world and has a keen interest in the neighbor girl Unda. Ineta, Krist's mother, is a moderately hysteical being, a primary school teacher who devotes all her awake hours to obsessively watching shows on TV. The tranquil balance of this family is disrupted one night when it turns out Krist's world of sleepwalking has began to endanger the life in awake.

Peter is just another "peter", so very ordinary. He works in an office where colleagues make fun of him and the boss makes sexual advances. His sick mother harasses him at home. Bit by bit his life becomes completely unbearable. Once, by chance, Peter happens to try magic mushrooms and this adventure turns into a move towards a different life.
Signs of Light
Ingus is a man around forty, utterly happy with his bachelor life, until one day chatty Žanete moves in next door and upsets the usual course of things. He might, of course, ignore her, but some overwhelming force makes him act differently.
