Back to PROGRESS now, and we go back six months for November 2015’s show: Chapter 23 – What A Time To Be Alive! There are no old men thawing out of a freezer here, but we do have a rare event which included a pre-show, and that match that broke the ring… in the main show opener, too!
and we’re back to Camden’s Electric Ballroom for PROGRESS Chapter 22 from October 2015, and the overly-titled “Trust, Encouragement, Reward, Loyalty, Satisfaction”. If that sounds familiar, it might be because you’re a fan of a British comedy… We open up with a spoof of a scene from the British version of The Office, featuring the GZRS’ Tom Irvin in the role of David Brent. Funny if you get the reference, and still pretty good if you didn’t!
We return to Camden’s Electric Ballroom, for PROGRESS’ Chapter 21 event from September 2015, entitled “You Know We Don’t Like To Use The Sit Down Gun”. Google it – you’ll find a video of a talking bird! Whilst this show featured the last match of Kris Travis, as his comeback ended when his cancer returned to ultimately claim his life, it also marked the start of a new era of PROGRESS, with new champion Will Ospreay having his first title defence.
