Christine Reeh
History
Christine Reeh is a German film producer and director, as well as a media philosopher, living in Lisbon and Karlsruhe, Germany. She is a lecturer at Peter Behrens School of Arts, Düsseldorf, project manager at the ZKM Karlsruhe and associate researcher and PhD fellow at Centro de Filosofia, Faculty of Letters of the Lisbon University. Christine has graduated in film direction at the Portuguese National Filmschool ESTC and holds a M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Lisbon. She has specialized in creative documentaries through international workshops (Visions, Journeyman, EDN). She has worked since 2000 in film editing and since 2003 in production and development of films (mainly documentaries and visual arts) at C.R.I.M. She also has directed several artistic documentaries, critically acclaimed and awarded.

This inward portrait of young Vania follows her from Bulgaria to Portugal and Spain and back home. Vania wishes a better life searching her personal independence and identity. She experiences illegality, isolation and exploitation while she tries to find answers for life's major decisions. This is a film about emigration from a feminine point of view. Can we survive without others? Two university students, Ana and Mário, want to test their relationship with reality by entering a voluntary strange experience of self-confinement. Surrounded by a deep forest and focusing entirely on a computer strategy game, reality blurs with fantasy and slowly they experience spheres that have not been visible before.
