Located in Old Havana, today it is an imposing ruin. Jorge de los Rios, a retired clerk, is one of the few residents who remain there, along with La Flaca, his lover, and Waldo, a young itinerant. As the rest leave for safer places, Jorge clings to his dilapidated home and its buried treasures, slowly digging his way through its debris. A water polo feminine team trains intensely for a final competition. Eva, the team captain, wishes to win, but has noticed strange behavior from her teammates ever since trainer Omar's arrival on the team. Eva tries to discover the truth, but has no idea that she is facing a supernatural force, hungry for blood and violence.

In no particular time and space, a family fabricates goat cheese. The mother and the daughter pretend to sell the cheese in a lonely road, but they are really selling their bodies. They leave the hard worked cheese to decay in a pile of dirt and rot. The mother encounters existential desperation when the daughter departs with a costumer and the father prefers the company of the goats.
