A competition between black magicians Anggoro (Johny Indo) and Lestari (Suzanna) results in Lestari being banished into the woods with a broken body. After he brother's death, she becomes suicidal until she runs across Ki Jagasatru (Clift Sangra), who comes from the South Seas with a recipe for revenge.
Featuring the Warkop DKI group, Dono, Kasino, and Indro live in the same boarding house as Lisa and Selly. After reading the answers of a magazine quiz, Indro wonders if one of the girls in the boarding house is in love with him. After many jokes and funny situations, it turns out to be just a misunderstanding. Kasino himself is having terrible luck when, by mistake, a bank employee gives him more money that he has asked for. He intends to return the money but has to go through many comic situations and obstacles. Then it is Dono’s turn, who has a Caucasian girlfriend, to go through similar obstacles.

He orders the villagers to find Katemi. The son of the old village head, Achmad, who has just returned from studying in a religious school, joins in the search. Katemi is found and returned to Bisman. But she already attained black magic powers. She takes her revenge on Bisman and leaves. From afar, Katemi keeps practicing her magic. Achmad tries to persuade her to stop but Nyi Angker will not allow it. Finally, Achmad manages to defeat Nyi Angker.
Malam Satu Suro is a romantic Indonesian horror movie directed by Gautama Putra Sisworo and starring Suzanna and Fendy Pradana. The film is known for its unique story line because it does not highlight the ghost as an antagonist but as the main character / protagonist. The film was distributed by Soraya Intercine Films.
