As I Lay Dying
A free adaptation of the classic William Faulkner novel, AS I LAY DYING follows four siblings - three brothers, accompanying their only sister - as they drive to the south of Iran with their newly-deceased father's body. Their father's will demands that his body be buried in a small, faraway village, a place none of his children have ever heard of.
Two
Bahman (Parviz Parastui) returns from Europe to put his late father's house in order. The maid, Pari (Mahtab Nasirpour), hired by Bahman's cousin, arrives to help him out. Hired against his will, he finds her intrusion annoying. When Pari needs his help, the isolated Bahman must decide whether to get involved. Pari’s life is complicated and her friendship with the young, unruly Samaneh, may be her downfall. Soheila Golestani's directorial debut is a beautifully shot and thought-provoking triumph.
The White Meadows
Rahmat travels to a host of islands in a vast salt pan in order to collect the inhabitant's tears for an unknown purpose. He is joined on his mysterious journey by a young boy searching for his father. As their travel nears its end, a potent critique of the Iran's political leadership emerges.
