Saladin
After a brutal assault on Pinuntun (Dolly Martin) and chef Mbah Mangun (Otig Pakis), the business is under the control of Saladin (Soultan Saladin). Then, Darmo Gandul (Panji Addiemas) comes back from self-discovery. He meets Retno (Ismi Melinda), the entertainer girl who wants to save her sister from the victim of the women's trafficking network to the other country. Darmo Gandul also discovers that his father's business empire is now a crime cartel. Darmo Gandul has to deal with Gato Loco's hordes (Eko Xamba), Saladin's men. Saladin's power and crime network is not simple. There are criminals and agents of international caliber in the grand design of making Saladin a ruler.

He carries the ransom by himself which they consider too small. They demand that Rhoma robs a bank. This incident shocks the public, especially when several newspapers label Rhoma as the ringleader. Rhoma is furious. He cooperates with the police to apprehend the gang of robbers.

Rhoma Irama and his Soneta Group visit various regions to preach religion. He receives both warm welcomes and accusations of commercialising religion. This challenge becomes Rhoma’s struggle. He tries to persuade his fellow professionals to avoid drinking and women. He also manages to help his future father-in-law who almost rapes Laila, his own daughter, in a drunken state. Despite opposition from the Al Muthainah college, Rhoma manages to convince them that music can be used as a means of preaching. Rhoma sings no less than seven preachy dangdut songs in this film.

A little boy is told the tale about the development of Jakarta, when a village was divided into two, and causing the people to oppose each other. On one side, there is Anton while the other side is lead by Mahmud. Maulana, the village boy whom Anton has adopted, falls in love with Laila, the sister of Mahmud. This love affair irritates Majid, Mahmud’s right-hand man, because he has loves Laila, long before her meeting with Maulana. Maulana and Laila refuse to take sides between the two opposing sides, and try to reconcile them. But a battle is inevitable. In the end, Mahmud kills Anton; but Mahmud dies at the hand of Maulana, his future brother-in-law. Then Maulana runs to Laila’s house and confesses. Laila forgives him, but Majid cannot. He orders a boy to steal the gun of Sabeni, an informant, and he shoots Maulana with it. While the intention was to make this film a musical, it didn’t work as the “realistic world” and the “musical world” could not blend fully.
