All in all, Gunther learns to respect himself and other people and to have fun during it all.

Late one night, Billy and Kade Ruckman see their neighbor, Michael Chambers, murder a woman, but Chambers has a story all set to convince their mother Vicky, that it was just a rehearsal scene from an opera. The only ones who can help them find the body in Chambers' house before he moves and gets rid of all evidence, are their friends, Jimmy, Eddie, and J.J., who are determined to find the body before Chambers finds them.

As the young boy's dog rushes to the intruder, he bites into the book in Bogg's hand. In the ensuing panic, while trying to snatch the book from the fangs of the animal, Jeffrey swings out the window. Bogg jumps into the void to catch him and both are projected into time. Phineas Bogg is part of a group called the "Travellers". As they try to return Jeffrey to his own time, they encounter famous people from the past — while trying not to alter the path of history.

The students of DeWitt University are preparing themselves for a night of fun and frolics in the form of an all-night scavenger hunt. Little do they know that they are in fact the ones being hunted.
