History

Romano Scarpa was one of the most famous Italian creators of Disney comics. Although primarily an artist for Disney, he also drew comics for non-Disney matrial such as 'Yogi Bear' (Hannah-Barbera). He opened an animation studio 1940 and directed a few animated films, including an adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's 'The Little Match Girl' (1953).
