Phyllis Lane (1916-2006) was a British actress, singer and showgirl. After the Second World War, she moved to the Netherlands. There she would become known as the assistant of Dutch comedian Toon Hermans in his One Man Show.

Dutch comedy icon Toon Hermans' second One Man Show was the first to be broadcast live on tv. The show caused a nationwide scramble of tv-sets, with millions of people tuning in. Featuring songs like 'Méditerranée', 'Ballonnetje' and the 'Kolderliedjes,' the show is seen as a landmark of Dutch television history.
