A small town on the Volga, mid-2000s. In the life of the resourceful Sasha, the fifteenth summer comes: again fooling around with friends, again going to the local "igrovukha" and the first summer part-time jobs...Everything goes on as usual, but Sashka does not know yet - it is this summer that he will have to take responsibility for someone else's life, meet love and get involved in dangerous troubles.

Father Alexey (a member of the Auctioneer group Oleg Garkusha), an elderly, eccentric and kind priest, spends his days alone, except for visiting his sick brother and his daughter. One day he receives an assignment to visit a deaf girl Violetta (Vasilisa Perelygina) in prison, falsely accused of setting fire to a church. When Father Alexei recognizes her as an orphan, whom he baptized as Barbara in infancy, a new meaning appears in his life.

She begins a grueling public battle with the contractor and the authorities, demanding the return of her son. When it becomes obvious that all efforts to silence Tonya are fruitless, a strange young man arrives on her doorstep...

The world famous pianist comes home, to the USSR, to participate in the Tchaikovsky Competition. But the commission does not allow him even to the final round. This event becomes fatal for the hero. The heroine of the second story, a young girl, becomes a widow some time after the wedding. Unable to let go of her husband, she asks him questions in her mind. The content of the long-awaited response is overwhelming.
