Matthew Lemche was born in Etobicoke, Ontario and grew up in Brampton, a city just outside of Toronto. He is the second child of three, being the younger brother of actor Kris Lemche. He officially began his professional acting career in 1991 when he played a small guest role on "The Kids in the Hall" playing Scott Thompson as a boy.
