Zahir Omar was born in Malaysia in 1982. He studied Film & TV at Queensland Unviersity before returning to Malaysia to work in advertising and filmmaking. He worked as an assitant director for Sepet, the late Yasmin Ahmad’s awardwinning 2005 film. He continues to make award-winning advertising. Fly by Night is his first film
