Richard Patrick was born 1965 in Santa Ana, California, as Richard Patrick Gillespie. He began his acting career in 1982 when he was 17, appearing in many movies and TV shows. In 1985, he earned his SAG card for his appearance in St. Elmo's Fire, a scene that was later cut from the final project. Today, he resides in Tennessee with his husband Ben Murray, a musician, and is the co-owner of a successful company he started in 1995.
