A young woman, Ida, has disappeared without a trace. In an empty apartment in Copenhagen, Sander is kept locked up. Here he is voluntarily filmed and interrogated by two men; Ida's father and brother. It turns out that Ida, long before her disappearance, lived a secluded life with Sander, isolated from the community – in the middle of the city. But Sander does not tell the whole truth.

In a small Danish town, we meet two generations of women. 61-year-old Solvej and the 17-year-old Kate. Their meeting kickstarts an unlikely friendship, as the wounds of the past are revealed and the seeds of hope are sown.

When she accompanies her boyfriend Lucas on a business trip to Norway, Ines meets a half-Japanese tourist, Maria, who instantly fascinates her. Suddenly Maria disappears, and Ines seizes the opportunity to replace her – she declares herself dead and travels to Japan in order to take over Maria's identity. There, she will get a job at Miss Osaka, the same nightclub where Maria used to work. A game of broken boundaries, lost identities and the dangerous balance between reality and the past has begun, and Ines must abide by the new rules by avoiding the more obscure paths.

Denmark, in the near future. One year after a major bomb attack in Copenhagen, political radicalization has intensified and ethnic tensions are increasing. As next year's parliamentary elections approach, in which nationalist leader Martin Nordahl hopes for a landslide victory, Zakaria becomes involved in a radical organization, where he befriends Ali.

Recently emigrated and with few local words, Maja feels disconnected from her classmates. But the strangeness of new surroundings soon become familiar when she finds a diversion.

Møn Island, Denmark. Sonja asks Anna, an aspiring singer, to visit her childhood friend Julie, Sonja's daughter, who is obsessed with an ancient myth. Anna tries to cheer Julie up and convince her to give up her fantasies. (Remake of the short film “Sombra,” 2017.)
