Naoki Watanabe is a Japanese film editor. He works for the post-production company JAYFILM (有限会社ジェイ・フィルム).
Note: Not to be confused with the producer Watanabe Naoki (渡辺直樹), who shares the same name with him.
Kohei has suffered from hearing loss since middle school and had trouble fitting in with those around him. Now a university student, Kohei meets the outgoing Taichi in the university courtyard. Their friendship becomes one in which they can say whatever is on their minds, but Kohei, who has grown used to keeping people from getting too close, now faces escalating expectations and anxiety the stronger his bonds with Taichi becomes.
Set at the edge of the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, with its beautiful scenic views, the film revolves around two women from different backgrounds who develop a friendship, and how they begin to influence and change each other’s lives.
