Core of the World
Egor is a vet at a training facility for hunting dogs in a remote region of the country. Surrounded by foxes, deer, badgers, and dogs, he lives in a small building next to the house of the facility's master. He treats the dogs, cleans the kennels, oversees the workers, and meets with clients and their dogs. It's easier for him to get along with dogs than with people. Egor is willing to take on any job to get closer to the facility's master and his near and dear. He wants the impossible - to become a member of that family.
Vacation
Ivan, the police captain, on his day off, which, incidentally, doesn’t often happen to him, went with his wife Sveta to the cinema. Khan, Anna and Sergey also decided to spend the day together. Only they are not going to the movies or just taking a walk. Their time is scheduled in minutes, each step is verified - they intend to rob the collectors. It all started well for the robbers, and everything would have gone as planned if Ivan had not met in the way of the robbers. Khan and Sergey are arrested. But moving away from the persecution, Khan shot Ivan's wife, Sveta. Anna manages to leave.
The Edge
The action takes place shortly after the end of the Second World War in the Siberian hinterland, among Russians and Germans with damaged personal stories and a strange transformation: the victors seem to be crawling into the skins of the defeated, and vice versa. Ignat, is the embodiment of the larger-than-life image of the Soviet victorious warrior who, in fact, proves to be shell-shocked, sick and broken, although not completely destroyed. Trains become fetish for the heroes of the film, and speed becomes a mania; they virtually become one with their steam engines, while the machines take on human names. The heroes set up an almost fatal race in the Siberian forest, risking their own lives and those of others.
