Ananta Das is a normal middle class man like any other common man. Everyday he avails the 8:08 A.M Bongaon Local to Kolkata to attain his office. One such incident was the murder of a brother who protested against a group of drunkards who were teasing his elder sister ("Rajiv murder case in Barasat"). Preliminarily he remained silent against all these incidents. But on one day, his protesting nature, inside him, burst out. He started protesting against each and every wrong deed, irrespective of the level of crime. As a result he stands out as a protesting person in front of other common people. He turns out to be the target of the leaders of the society.
Omkarnath
Amarnath (Rajat Ganguly) is an opposition party leader and wants to stage his own attempted assassination to garner the sympathy vote in the upcoming election. His colleague Shubhankar Banerjee (Biplab Chatterjee) hooks him up with Raja (Jeet). Ganguly is killed by Joy (Indrajit Chakraborty). Police immediately surround the skyscraper. Raja assumes that Joy has died in the accident. Raja goes to the top of the building with the police in pursuit. A passing train offers Raja an escape with a rope to land on the train.
Natobar, like any other typical Bengali lad, wants to be a poet. He is unsuccessful in all his attempts while dabbling with poetry. Rabindranath Tagore visits him in his sleep and gives him a boon - he is endowed with Tagore's poetic prowess but for a limited period.
Ravi and Masha are just children when they were sold into labour by their parents. When they meet, friendship blossoms between them but when the factory manager threatens to sell Masha, possibly into sex slavery, Ravi gives up his hard earned savings to buy her freedom.
