After 18 long years , XPW and it's mastermind founder Rob Black, are Back and on November 7th they present Rebirth live on FITE! On this special night a 8 man tournament will take place to crown the New XPW World Heavyweight Champion. The contenders are Brian Cage, Willie Mack, Matt Cross, Bill Collier, Masada, Rhino, KC Navarro and a surprise entree. Who will become the first World Champion since the Franchise Shane Douglas? Also on the show Shlak, G-Raver, Colin Delaney and few surprises. Doing color commentary and hosting the historic show will be the original voice of XPW Kris Kloss.

The basic setup for the day was that the eight first round matches would take place on the early show, while the second round (taking place on the later show) would feature two 4-way matches. The two winners of those 4-ways would meet in the finals. The second show would also feature various matches stuffed in and all around to fill out the card

Following the events at ROH Death before Dishonor III, ROH convinced CM Punk to come back and make one defense of the ROH World Championship on the condition he got to pick the opponent.
