Finding himself alone, in an unknown environment, the main character is a human, trying to find contact with everyone he meets on his way. He repeats the movements and sounds of unknown creatures, "pokes" interlocutors and even chases them, hoping in this way to achieve understanding and maybe somehow arrange his life in a world without heaven and earth, where he has absolutely nothing to rely on.

The story of two brothers who grew up in a wealthy Moscow family and survived devastating revolutionary changes, but were arrested and sent to a camp in 1941 for their German roots. Very little information about their lives has survived, but the little that remains is incredibly beautiful and alive. The grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the heroes became film artists in order to try to understand what happened to their family in the last century and how to deal with this memory today.
