“The Beckoning” is an original dance short film centralizing the historical & political violence of displacement onto Black bodies in hopes of reclaiming the power it righteously deserves. The film features original poetry by Destinny Fletcher, as well as, original music by Kellen “KLASSIK” Abston.

With each passing minute this melting pot of Americana (different cultures and identities abound) threatens to boil over as the attendees anxiously await the arrival of the bride and groom. An ensemble piece that's alternately comic and dramatic, Life of the Party is a wedding you have to see to believe.
