Meanwhile, an older couple, having received an even graver medical prognosis, look back on their lives and wonder if there's still time to tie up loose ends. When the couples' paths entwine, nothing will ever be the same again.

When five prisoners are locked in a room, and are unable to communicate as none of them speak the same language, the situation is intensified when the haunting stone altar in the centre of the room demands a sacrifice. However, once one is selected and disposed of, this occupant is replaced, and in time a new choice of sacrifice must be made. In a dog-eat-dog environment, where might equals right and disunity abounds, can any of the room's occupants find a way to salvation?
