History

Alvaro Balvin Benavides is a Peruvian composer based in Los Angeles. He graduated from Berklee College of Music and from the University of Southern California Screen Scoring Master's in Music. He is mostly known for his work on "Chef's Table BBQ" and "Street Food Latinamerica," both productions for Netflix. He is also known for his score for the award winning short film "La Ruta," for which he received a nomination for Best Score at the L'H Internationale Film Festival in Barcelona, Spain. He also scored the Gold Student Academy Award Winner (Student Oscar's) documentary "Unfinished Lives" (2020).
