History

Abdullah Khan is a British filmmaker from London. He is the founder of Rosebud Films and is a Forbes 30 Under 30 Honoree. At age 18, he began his career on ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.’ He subsequently worked on ‘Fast & Furious: Hobbs and Shaw,’ and ‘1917.’ Shortly after, he was offered a position as an assistant at Academy Award winning director Sam Mendes’ Neal Street Productions. At 21, he made his short directorial debut with ‘Find the Light’ (2022) starring George MacKay, which premiered at the Manchester Film Festival. He recently followed this up with ‘Path to Ecstasy’ (2023) starring Lawrence Olivier winner Michael Jibson, and Louis Ashbourne Serkis.

The story follows Dev, an obsessive fan who after a frustrating 5 year wait, abducts his favorite author, Arthur Williams, who has been trying to overcome writer's block. Inspired by the heroes in Arthur's novels, Dev 'takes action' and attempts to fulfill his desperate cravings by looking to discover Arthur's latest works. Driven out to the middle of nowhere, Arthur is blindfolded and strapped in the backseat of a car, Dev begins to pressure him into revealing his secrets. Things begin to take a turn when Dev suspects Arthur knows more than he should.
