Grace Oh

History

Grace Oh began her career in production working in multiple student films and eventually working in television for cable networks such as MTV, VH1, and the Disney Channel. Her expertise in production and acquisition were just a few of the reasons for her recruitment to Shim Films Inc. in 2000. At Shim Films, Oh produced multiple key projects eventually being promoted to senior producer to oversee all incoming projects. She has worked on campaigns for The Learning Channel, E! entertainment, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Kingworld productions, Hollywood Squares, and Bloomberg Television among others. She has been a key speaker at PromaxBDA in Amsterdam, Singapore, Miami, and Los Angeles, representing Shim Films globally. Grace's last script, which she wrote and developed with ShimFilms was accepted to the 2005 Tribeca Film Festival Directors All Access program. Grace is currently working with MTVNetworks in Strategic Resources providing support for most of the productions out of the west coast.

The Fair Trade

The feature documentary The Fair Trade tells the story of Tamara Johnston who, devastated by the tragic death of her fiance, makes a bargain with God in exchange for a meaningful life. She and her twin sister Shelby join forces with brother-in-law Steven to start one of the first fair trade skincare companies—Anti-Body. Even as Tamara becomes a successful activist for human rights and social justice causes, despair over her loss remains unabated. As she nears the deadline of her bargain, a trip to Africa allows her to visit the fair trade co-op from which Anti-Body buys its organic shea butter. There, she finds a surprising answer to what is required of her in exchange for a sustainable life.
