Nico Sanft

Nico Sanft is a self-taught director based in Hamburg, Germany. His journey as a filmmaker began in 2007, when he was finally able to afford his first camera at the age of 14. Now, 15 years later, he quite literally has been making films for more than half of his life. Following his passion seems to be what he's been doing for as long as he can think—at least that's what it feels like to him anyway. So far, Nico has directed numerous award-winning short films, music videos and spec commercials, and his projects have been screened at both national and international festivals. In addition to his work as a director, he has a highly qualified technical background, having worked extensively in production as well as post-production capacities. With more than 10 years of professional experience in the commercial film industry, he knows how to deliver his projects with the highest quality while working under the strictest time and budget constraints. Nico's long-term goal is clear: to establish himself as a director in the German film scene. Not one to wait around for permission, he is actively developing narrative film projects of various lengths as well as spec commercials and music videos.
