Siti Zainab (December 31, 1935 – August 21, 2014) was an Indonesian actress and dancer who was known for her role as a "Tari Remadja" dancer in Asrama Dara (1958). She was born on 31 December 1935 in Tanjong Malim, British Malaya, as the oldest child to Siti Khadijah and Kimpal. Her sister were Hindun binti Kimpal and her brother were Kamaruddin bin Kimpal. Zainab started her education by taking a course at cooking school in West Sumatera, she then completed her education at Sekolah Kepandaian Putri (SKP). Zainab began to work as a cooking teacher and dancer, she was very active in the early 50s. She made her last debut as a "Tari Remadja" dancer in Usmar Ismail directed film Asrama Dara (1958), after that Zainab quit her job. Zainab married to Indonesian ulama Zakaria bin Muhammad Amin on 1956 in Bengkalis. They had a seven children named Zulkarnain Zakaria (born 17 August 1957), Nukman Zakaria (born 20 June 1960), Rinie Yuslina Fairuz Zakaria (25 July 1964 – 14 March 2021), Gamal Abdul Nasir Zakaria (born 22 June 1965), Rita Puspa Zakaria (born 20 November 1967), Nida Suryani Zakaria (born 15 April 1971), and Sri Purnama Zakaria (born 20 October 1973). Their marriage lasted until Zakaria's death on 1 January 2006. Zainab died at her residence in Kelapapati, Bengkalis, on 21 August 2014, due to heart attack at the age of 78. Her funeral was held at Taman Makam Islam Harapan.

Belenggu Masjarakat
Suparto is a middle-ranked officer who is moved to Jakarta. In the city, he meets Harjiman, the licensing importer. Then Harjiman introduces him to Roostinah whose task is to seduce Suparto for help in securing the import licenses. Suparto's wife, Sulastri, comes to Jakarta when she hears about her husband's unfaithfulness. Then Suparto realizes that Roostinah is sent to seduce him, but when he returns to Sulastri, she rejects him. His crime is discovered and Suparto is sent to prison. When he completes his sentence, Suparto joins the migration to Sumatra. Then Sulastri accepts him again.
Dewi Murni
The film Dewi Murni is an adaptation of Kalidasa’s Shakuntala. This is established through the identification of chronological events that are similar to the story of Shakuntala authored by Kalidasa. Adaptations have been made to the Indian story, transforming it to the Malay version and prominent differences are notable. The principal story of Dewi Murni remains the same whereby the main characters meet in unlikely surroundings, woo and get married. Both King Dushyanta [in Shakuntala] and King Indraloka [in Dewi Murni] lose memory of their wives (in different ways), the heroines lose their signet rings and are rejected by their respective husbands at the palace court. In both stories, the rings are discovered in a fish’s maw and upon its re-emergence, the kings’ memories of their respective wives are regained.
