History

Linda Scott was born in Paris where she studied Filmmaking at E.S.R.A Paris Film School from which she graduated in 2006. During her studies, she directed a drama short film called “Photo de Famille” shot in Super 16mm and got the opportunity to cut it on an old film editing table. This was the starting point of her passion for editing and storytelling. She worked the next ten years as a freelance TV offline editor, cutting factual programs for French national channels TF1 and M6. All the while, she kept having artistic projects (a feature film, several short movies, music videos or EPKs). In 2016, she made the life-changing decision to leave her career behind to pursue the adventurous plan of moving to Scotland where she resumed her studies in Filmmaking and graduated with distinction from a Filmmaking Master’s degree at the University of the West of Scotland where she wrote and directed "Girls Night Out", a multi-awarded coming of age short film. She also co-directed and edited a short film called "Veronique" and edited two other short films: "Canonbone" directed by Shanine Gallagher and "Insomania" directed by Valerie Theuns (Best Student Film at Ayr Film Festival 2022).
