Raffaele Minichiello, also known as Ralph (Melito Irpino, 1 November 1949), is an Italian naturalized US soldier. He is considered responsible for the first case of intercontinental plane hijacking and the longest hijacking in the history of civil aviation: over 19 hours from Los Angeles to Rome for a total of almost 11,000 kilometers in the air.
