The audience will experience an exciting deep dive into the legacy of Fela Kuti, the creator of the Afrobeat, through the eyes of a Nigerian boy, Adedola (Ade). Ade struggles to survive in Lagos. He has a special relationship with his grandfather and they share a passion for Fela Kuti; the sudden death of his granddad ignites a spiral of self-destruction. Ade is considered “possessed”, and almost killed by an exorcistic ritual. He is then visited by Fela’s spirit and embodies Fela’s fight.
