History

Ryan J. Duncan is a Los Angeles-based actor, singer, dancer, and producer, best known for The Shell (2019), Summer of Six (2016) and The Writing on the Wall (2014). Born and raised in Ridgefield, CT, Ryan first caught the acting bug at the age of five when he played The Gingerbread Man in a kindergarten production of the same name. He attended Northwestern University where he graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in Theatre and History and a certificate in Musical Theatre. Ryan fell in love with the Chicago theatre scene while attending Northwestern and decided to move down to Chicago post-graduation. He spent several years there before moving to LA. Ryan has had the opportunity to work with a number of great theater companies, including Theatre West, The Group Rep., Music Theater Works, Theatre at the Center, Williams Street Repertory Theatre, NightBlue Theatre, Metropolis Performing Arts Center, Texas Family Musicals, Towle Theatre, and The Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company. He has appeared in commercial spots for Monster and Nutriblend Animal Food and can be seen in several short films and web-series. Ryan is passionate about all aspects of the performing arts, including film, musical theatre, drama, new works, improv, comedy, and commercial content. Ryan is represented by the Robertson/Taylor Agency (RTA) and is a proud member of the Grok Acting Studio.

In a dystopian future, the world is suffering from overpopulation. A group of radicals calling themselves the "Enthusiasts" are trying to prove the Myth to the world. The Myth is the world they are living in is inside of a shell, and there is a bigger and unknown world outside of it. Will, a depressed and cynical assassin, is determined to kill the leader of the Enthusiasts. But when he fails to kill a young Enthusiast, he begins to question whether or not the Myth may actually be true.
