Jay Stern is an American film producer. In 1988, he was Director of Development for Michael Peyser Productions and a year later Stern joined the newly formed Hollywood Pictures. In 1995, he started working for New Line Cinema. Between 2001 and 2009, he joined director Brett Ratner at Rat Entertainment. In 2010, Stern co-founded the independent movie production and finance company Route One Films.
