The old man shares his ironic philosophy on life, causing him great anxiety. Will he make it out alive?

The film revolves around Hildur, a national celebrity and socialite who has to look for a job when her boyfriend Jolli is sent to prison. She finds a job at Astrópía, a store that sells role playing books and her immersion into geek culture changes her outlook on life.
To start with we are led to believe the setting is a country-hotel of some sort. In the end we discover this is a State Rehabilitation Facility and everything that happens is a carefully orchestrated escape plot by some of the inmates. The film was shot on location at an isolated boarding school in Saelingsdalur in the west of Iceland. The school is used as a hotel during the summer months but the film takes place in the wintertime.
A streetsweeper finds a unconscious woman while cleaning the streets and decides to help her out by bringing her to his home, but little does he know that the woman is lives a life of crime.
