While he loses his clandestine work, and because he believes that Maroussia and him will no longer be able to love each other as well, Frank leaves to earn as much as she: twelve thousand, just what it takes to have a year before them. No more no less.
Director
Antoni Farrazzi, a seasonal worker in the maintenance of the ski lifts, is called to the resort of Nivance, run by a certain Matthias, who supports the reputation of the resort with a subterfuge. Antoni is going to meet Josefa, a beautiful and amnesiac woman who lives with Matthias and whom he once knew as a child.
In this black and white drama, a boy and his uncle, Italian immigrants in France, live together in a housing block. The boy is a very sensitive young fellow, and and doesn't understand how his uncle can possibly find bullfighting so attractive, and how he can, apparently without feeling, kill a sheep. Later, a woman by the name of Pandora enters their lives, and a complicated rivalry among all three develops as they vie for one another's attentions.
